Berwick Middle School pupils celebrated their success at the awards ceremony held in the Guildhall as part of the Berwick Literary Festival.
Pupils from years 7 and 8 entered the Berwick Rotary short story and poetry competition. Pupils visited the Scottish Colourists exhibition at the Granary Gallery for inspiration before putting pen to paper.
Emily, Kirstin and Kacey were short-listed for the short story competition. Emily and Kacey won runner up prizes and read extracts from their stories to a packed town hall audience.
Owen won the Scottish colourists poetry competition for years 7 and 8.
