PTFA stands for Parents, Teachers and Friends Association. We're a group of volunteers who organise social and fundraising events for the school. Over the past year we've held a Quiz Night, Christmas Fayre and Music Fest and helped out at school events such as parents' evenings. We also arrange activities like Bag2School collections and bag packing. The money we raise is for the benefit of every pupil in the school and is used to buy items such as play equipment, musical instruments and reading books.
Obviously, we need the support of parents to make all this happen. We hope you'll enjoy coming along to our events which are a great opportunity to get to know your children's friends and their families. If you'd like to be more involved then we'd love that too as we're always on the look out for more helpers!
We hold informal meetings at The Castle Hotel every other month (usually the second Tuesday at 6:30pm) and you're welcome to come along. You don't have to come to every meeting. In fact, if you can't make any of our meetings but have an idea you want to share with us or think you can help in another way then just let us know. You can get in touch via the school office.
