BMS Big Grow
Every year at Berwick Middle School, we hold a 'Big Grow'.
This year, our focus was growing vegetables.
All pupils who participated in the challenge were given pots, compost and seeds/seed potatoes for them to plant at home and were encouraged to send regular photo updates of their green-fingered efforts!
All participants were given gardening tips, germination guides and were encouraged to help prepare and cook their vegetables as part of a family meal.
Last year, the focus was Sunflowers - with many categories up for grabs such as 'Brightest Bloom' and 'Tallest Bloom'.
We were overwhelmed with entries from our pupils.
What will the focus be next year?!
